We dive Nitrox.

We offer the use of Nitrox with 32% oxygen for all dives, ensuring a safe and enriching diving experience.

We provide NX32 with a MOD (maximum operating depth) of 33m and a PpO2 of 1.4 bar at depth.

Nitrox is included in the proposed price.

For certified divers who intend to dive at 40m, dives will be conducted on air if necessary and upon request.

It is not mandatory to dive with Nitrox at our center, and we respect each diver's choice to use either air or Nitrox during their dives. However, during peak season, it will be challenging to manage various types of divers, experiences, and different gases. An exception may be made in low season!

However, current regulations require us to dive with individuals using Nitrox only if they have received prior training and obtained certification.

That said, it’s important to note that if you choose to dive on air while other members of your dive group are diving on Nitrox, those divers will need to adjust their dive computers to air! This can complicate dive management and frustrate Nitrox divers, especially due to variations in dive profiles and experiences.

We have invested in a membrane compressor to meet the growing demand for Nitrox diving, as the safety of all our divers is our priority, especially in Rangiroa. Furthermore, we aim to encourage this practice by making training accessible and simple: it is conducted online, does not require physical immersion, and is offered at an attractive rate.

We believe it is essential that every diver is informed about the issues related to the use of Nitrox before joining our dives.

The use of Nitrox can contribute to a reduction in diving incidents related to human errors, particularly those caused by excessive fatigue or decompression troubles, thus offering a safer experience for everyone. Managing decompression accidents in Rangiroa is complicated since the decompression chamber is located in Tahiti. By diving with Nitrox, we therefore reduce these risks or even eliminate them.

Access to Nitrox:

  • Certified Nitrox Divers: You must inform us of your certification when securing your slots and present it at the center to participate in Nitrox dives.
  • Divers without Nitrox Certification: Uncertified divers interested in obtaining certification have access to the online course at a discounted rate. Please contact us if interested.
